To promote innovation in clinical laboratory technology and enhance regional diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, on September 12th, the 2025 Academic Conference of the Laboratory Medicine Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, along with the Clinical Laboratory New Technology and Clinical Application Training Course and the Committee's Re-election Conference, was grandly held in Chengdu. Co-organized by the Laboratory Medicine Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and West China Hospital of Sichuan University Shangjin, the event brought together over 150 colleagues from laboratory medicine in both regional and non-regional medical institutions and research institutes. Through the re-election, new forces were gathered, and the future trends in laboratory medicine were discussed in this academic feast.

On September 12th, the second term changeover conference of the Second Committee of Laboratory Medicine of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was successfully held. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Charter" and the "Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Academic Organization Management Measures", and with the approval of the association's secretariat, the changeover election was carried out strictly in accordance with the organizational procedures and requirements for the election. First, Professor Li Hongxia, the chairperson of the Second Committee of Laboratory Medicine, reported on the work of the second term, summarizing the series of work carried out by the committee, which was unanimously recognized by all committee members. Subsequently, Professor Zeng Tingting from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, the chairperson of the preparatory group for the Third Committee of Laboratory Medicine, reported on the work of the preparatory group, emphasizing that the preparation for the new committee would be carried out in accordance with the principles of "standardization, efficiency, and diversity". The conference announced the recommendation and qualification review report of 111 committee member candidates.

The "2025 Academic Conference of the Committee of Laboratory Medicine and Training Course on New Laboratory Techniques and Clinical Applications" was successfully held on September 12th, 2025! The conference invited authoritative experts from both within and outside the province to give special academic reports on cutting-edge topics such as the innovative application of laboratory techniques, the construction of laboratory quality control systems, the diagnostic strategies for difficult diseases through laboratory tests, and the multi-disciplinary joint laboratory testing model.

The conference concluded successfully, with over 150 colleagues in attendance. West China Hospital of Sichuan University was deeply involved in the organization and hosting of the event. The event had significant industry value, focusing on "intelligentization + precision + homogenization". The establishment of the "New Laboratory Technology Transformation Base" at West China Hospital Shangjin will accelerate the dissemination of cutting-edge technologies. The academic sessions focused on core topics such as quantitative detection and intelligent laboratory testing, providing a path for the transformation of the laboratory medicine discipline from "technical service" to "diagnosis and treatment collaboration". The subsequent plans of the committee, such as grassroots lectures and the development of AI tools, will further promote the high-quality development of laboratory medicine in the western region.
