To further enhance the hospital infection management level of various medical institutions and improve the theoretical and technical capabilities of full-time and part-time infection control personnel in hospital infection prevention and control, and to effectively ensure medical safety, the "Third Re-election Conference of the Hospital Infection Management Professional Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and the 2025 Academic Conference" was successfully held in Chengdu on September 26th, jointly organized by Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and hosted by the Hospital Infection Management Professional Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association.

The Second Hospital Infection Management Branch of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was established in 2020. The current term has expired. According to the relevant provisions of the "Academic Organization Management Measures of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association", the election for the new term is being held. First, Professor Xu Shilan, the current chairperson of the second term, delivered a term work report, summarizing the series of work carried out by the branch in the past, which was unanimously recognized by all the committee members.
The meeting democratically elected the chairperson, vice-chairpersons and standing committee members of the third Hospital Infection Management Special Committee. Professor Chen Yi from West China Hospital of Sichuan University was elected as the chairperson. Professor Chen Ping from the Army Specialized Medical Center (Chongqing Daping Hospital), Professor Li Qiyu from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou University of Chinese Medicine, Professor Fan Li from the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province, Professor Zhang Jing from Sichuan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Professor Liu Yongfang from Chengdu Third People's Hospital, Professor Xu Jianjun from Chengdu Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Professor Xiao Xueqin from Ziyang Central Hospital, and Professor Gu Cheng from Suining Central Hospital Professor Wu, Professor Huang Yan from the High-tech Campus of Sichuan Modern Hospital, and Professor Kang Xia from West China Hospital of Sichuan University were elected as vice chairpersons.
Chairman Chen Yi stated at the meeting that the special committee will unswervingly take Party building as the leading core. Under the leadership of the society, it will do its utmost to meticulously carry out and complete the nine core missions assigned by the society, ensuring that each task is completed to a high standard.
The conference read out the approval for the establishment of the Party Working Group of the Third Hospital Infection Management Special Committee. Among the 83 Party members of the special Committee, after recommendation and discussion, the Party branch of the Society agreed that Chen Yi would serve as the group leader of the Party working Group, Xiao Xueqin as the deputy group leader, Zhang Jing in charge of discipline inspection work, and Fan Li in charge of organizational work. Comrade Li Qiyu is in charge of publicity work. Finally, Comrade Xiao Xueqin led all the committee members in a Party lesson study.
Professor Chen Yi from West China Hospital of Sichuan University served as the host of the opening ceremony of the academic conference. Director Liu Ding of Chongqing Hospital Infection Control Center and Professor Ai He, Vice president and deputy secretary-general of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, attended the conference and delivered speeches.
This conference invited renowned experts from both within and outside the province to give lectures. The expert team focused on solving the difficulties in hospital infection control work and its intelligent development, and deeply explored the integrated development of public health and hospital infection management.
The content of this meeting is detailed and rich, featuring both theoretical depth and practical depth. The conference aims to promote the advancement of hospital infection control management towards standardization, collaboration and intelligence, further strengthen the medical safety defense line, and provide patients with safer and higher-quality medical services.
