On October 14, 2025, in order to thoroughly implement the work requirements of the Institute of Hospital Management of the National Health Commission and the Sichuan Provincial Medical Quality Control Center for Disinfection Supply, taking skills competitions as the starting point, to enhance professional capabilities in the field of disinfection supply, optimize service levels, standardize the inspection, maintenance, packaging and operation procedures of endoscopic surgical instruments, and consolidate the foundation of medical safety Hosted by the Chengdu Disinfection Supply Medical Quality Control Center and organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College The "Skills Competition" on the basic knowledge and skills of Disinfection supply in Chengdu - the Packaging Skills Competition of Endoscopic Surgical Instruments, co-organized by the Disinfection Supply Specialized Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and the Medical Quality Control Center for Disinfection Supply of Xindu District, Chengdu City, was successfully held in the studio of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical University.

Sixty-four contestants from 32 medical institutions recommended by the disinfection supply Medical Quality control centers of 23 districts, counties and cities in Chengdu participated in this competition.

The opening ceremony was jointly presided over by MAO Yuan, the head nurse of the Disinfection Supply Center of the 363rd Hospital, and Yao LAN, the secretary of the Chengdu Disinfection Supply Medical Quality Control Center and from the Seventh People's Hospital of Chengdu.

Zhang Kun, Director of the Nursing Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College; Zhang Yan, deputy director of the Chengdu Disinfection Supply Medical Quality Control Center and head nurse of the Disinfection Supply Center of Chengdu Third People's Hospital, delivered speeches at the competition respectively.

To ensure the professionalism and fairness of the competition, this event has specially invited three senior expert judges and twenty on-site judges to form a powerful judging panel. The expert judges include: Lu Jie, Secretary-General of Chengdu Disinfection Association, Han Yan, Deputy Director of Business of Sichuan Disinfection Supply Medical Quality Control Center, and Shuai Jing, Deputy Director of Disinfection Supply Professional Committee of Sichuan Nursing Association. The on-site judges were composed of 20 people, including experts from the Chengdu Disinfection Supply Medical Quality Control Center and head nurses from the disinfection supply centers of various hospitals.

The atmosphere at the competition site was tense yet orderly. Each participating team worked in perfect harmony and operated skillfully, demonstrating solid professional skills and efficient teamwork. The contestants remained calm and composed, supporting each other. This not only demonstrated their indomitable competitive spirit but also injected vitality and passion into the entire competition, earning rounds of applause from the audience on the spot.
