In response to the global public health challenge of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and to advance the practical implementation of the "Healthy China 2030" strategic goals in the field of kidney disease prevention and treatment, the "Academic Series on New Advances in CKD Diagnosis and Treatment," organized by the Chengdu High-tech Zone Medical Association, was successfully held recently. The series, which commenced in October and spanned nearly two months, comprised six intensive and high-quality online academic sessions. It attracted extensive participation from healthcare professionals across the country, particularly those from primary medical institutions, with the cumulative number of online views and interactions reaching a new record high.

The series closely centered on the core objectives of "disseminating the concept of holistic CKD management, strengthening early screening, diagnosis, and treatment, enhancing comprehensive management capabilities, and improving long-term patient prognosis." Against the backdrop of rapid advancements in medical technology and the growing health demands of the public, the conference aimed to pool expertise and collectively address key challenges in CKD prevention and treatment. The fully online format broke geographical barriers, enabling broader and more convenient sharing of academic resources. Participants engaged deeply in learning and interaction through various means, including live streaming, real-time Q&A sessions, and post-event replays. The conference fostered a rich academic atmosphere, inspiring healthcare professionals, especially primary care physicians, to enthusiastically learn and apply new knowledge and technologies in CKD management. This has positively contributed to standardizing and elevating the diagnosis, treatment, and management practices within China’s CKD prevention and treatment efforts, particularly at the grassroots level.

The prevention and control of chronic kidney disease is a long-term systemic endeavor crucial to public health. The successful hosting of the "Academic Series on New Advances in CKD Diagnosis and Treatment" not only demonstrates the Chengdu High-tech Zone Medical Association’s commitment to building a high-level academic exchange platform in the professional field but also represents a concrete action in actively responding to the national strategy for comprehensive chronic disease prevention and control and supporting the realization of the "Healthy China 2030" goals. The academic insights and management concepts disseminated through this series are poised to have a profound and positive impact on elevating China’s overall CKD prevention and treatment standards, slowing disease progression, improving patients’ quality of life, and alleviating the societal burden of the disease.
