To thoroughly implement the spirit of the "Healthy China 2030" Planning Outline and the Ministry of Education's "Guiding Opinions on Comprehensively Promoting the Construction of Healthy Schools," and to effectively advance the eight key tasks for healthy school construction, the "2026 Academic Conference of the Health Campus First Aid Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and the Symposium on Advancing Key Tasks for Healthy School Construction" was successfully held on April 17, 2026. The conference was hosted by the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, organized by its Health Campus First Aid Committee, and co-organized by the Hospital of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). Participants included medical staff from schools and healthcare institutions, experts and scholars in the fields of school health and health education, physical education and health workers, as well as public welfare organizations concerned with and supporting the construction of healthy schools.
Themed "Implementing 8 Tasks, Building a New Health Ecosystem," the conference focused on the latest national policies and standards for healthy school construction. In-depth academic exchanges and experience sharing were conducted on key areas such as school health management, mental health education, myopia prevention and control, weight management, life safety education, integration of physical education and health, healthy environment and nutrition meals, as well as home-school-community-medical collaboration.

In her speech, Chairperson Xu Jingjing pointed out that the conference should emphasize practical outcomes, adhere to the principle of "holding effective meetings and learning useful knowledge," and eliminate formalities. She stressed that universities, primary schools, and kindergartens should be guided by education, leverage the committee's platform to strengthen experience exchange and capacity sharing, and promote the coordinated development of campus health undertakings across all educational levels. She expressed her hope that attendees would achieve fruitful results from the conference.

Secretary-General Ai He introduced the achievements made by the committee since its establishment in integrating educational and medical resources, conducting first-aid training, and building a home-school-community-medical collaborative system. He also shared experiences and insights from carrying out first-aid training. He emphasized that campus safety is related to social stability and called on all parties to stay true to their original aspirations, deepen academic efforts, form synergies, continuously promote first-aid knowledge popularization, and work together to create a safe and beautiful campus environment and a happy life.

Roundtable Dialogue
A special roundtable dialogue session was arranged, where experts engaged in in-depth discussions and answered questions raised by attendees. Participants unanimously agreed that healthy school construction requires policy guidance, professional support, and multi-party collaboration, with particular emphasis on the implementation of key areas such as first-aid capacity, mental health, weight management, and myopia prevention and control.
Highlights
This conference provided practical and feasible ideas and methods for advancing the eight key tasks of healthy school construction, further consolidated the strength of education, medical, and social sectors, and laid a solid foundation for building a "New Healthy Campus Ecosystem."
The Health Campus First Aid Committee of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association will continue to play its platform role, promote the transformation of academic achievements and the dissemination of work experiences, and help implement the Healthy China strategy on campus.
