To enhance the research capabilities of grassroots pharmacists, transform valuable clinical practice experience into valuable academic achievements, and strengthen their personal career development as well as the improvement of the hospital's pharmacy discipline level. The "Firefly Plan - Project Kick-off Meeting and Training Session for Enhancing the Research Capacity and Incubating Achievements of Pharmacy in Grassroots Hospitals" initiated by the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association and organized by the Hospital Pharmacy Specialized Committee of the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association was successfully held online on December 10, 2025.

The opening ceremony of this conference was presided over by Professor Luo Lin from Chengdu Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General Ai He of Chengdu High-tech Medical Association attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He first congratulated the successful launch of the "Firefly Project". And it was stated that this project is not only a traditional training, but also an "incubator" and "connector". It aims to help everyone build a complete capability chain from topic design to paper publication, from data management to technology transfer through systematic scientific research training. The society will also continue to build a platform to connect clinical experts, methodological experts, and resources from the industry, jointly helping good clinical ideas take root and bear fruit. So as to truly achieve "empowering clinical researchers and catalyzing innovation at the front line".

Professor Xi Heng from the Third People's Hospital of Chengdu and Professor Xiong Xuan from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital respectively gave detailed explanations on knowledge such as how to conduct clinical research in pharmacy and the writing skills of pharmaceutical research proposals, bringing detailed and highly instructive special topic sharing to the participants.

This training has provided a high-level learning and exchange platform for a large number of hospital pharmacy practitioners, especially pharmacists in primary medical institutions. This will directly assist pharmacists in transforming their thoughts from clinical practice into high-quality academic research. Ultimately, through the feedback of scientific research achievements, the optimization and upgrading of pharmaceutical services will be achieved, allowing patients to enjoy more precise and cutting-edge pharmaceutical care.
