In order to continuously promote the integration and mutual penetration of basic scientific research and clinical medicine in the fields of metabolism and disease, enhance the awareness and attention of researchers and healthcare professionals to the latest developments in this area, and provide a platform for interdisciplinary exchange as well as strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration, the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association successfully held the "Expert Seminar on Advances in Diabetes Diagnosis and Treatment Technologies" online on December 16 and December 25, 2025. The seminar, themed "Integration and Innovation: Transformation and Application of New Technologies in Diabetes Diagnosis and Treatment," attracted hundreds of experts, scholars, and industry representatives from top medical institutions, research institutes, universities, and leading enterprises across the country. Together, they explored the technological transformation in diabetes diagnosis and treatment, ranging from precision monitoring to intelligent management, and charted a new future for diabetes management.
As the global prevalence of diabetes continues to rise, traditional diagnosis and treatment models face significant challenges. This seminar aimed to establish a high-level, interdisciplinary dialogue platform to promote the translation of the latest scientific research achievements into clinical practice, ultimately benefiting a wide range of patients. During the seminar, experts focused on learning and sharing insights into the "Expert Consensus on the Clinical Application of Continuous Glucose Monitoring (2024)" and the "Analysis of the International Strictest Accuracy Standard—the iCGM Standard." The conference chairperson emphasized, "We are at a 'singularity' in the technological revolution of diabetes diagnosis and treatment. The integration of technologies, particularly the deep penetration of digitalization and intelligence, will fundamentally reshape the landscape of diabetes prevention and treatment. The future goal is not only 'glucose control' but also to enhance patients' quality of life, prevent complications, and achieve true health and well-being through comprehensive, continuous, and personalized data-driven management."
This seminar has charted a clear direction for the industry regarding technological evolution and clinical application, marking a new stage of deepening integration and accelerated implementation in China's exploration of innovative diabetes diagnosis and treatment.
