In the new era, with new missions, and in order to implement the tenet of "Caring for Health, Prioritizing Women and Children" and to strengthen the capacity of medical institutions at all levels in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric diseases, the "8th Furong Pediatrics Academic Conference / 8th Sichuan Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Children's Health Conference / 1st Southwest Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Pediatrics Academic Conference / 4th Shudao Maternal and Child Health Conference – Pediatrics Session" was held in Chengdu from June 12 to 14, 2026. The conference was jointly organized by Chengdu High-tech Medical Association, Sichuan Society for Early Childhood Development and Health Science Research, Sichuan Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Sichuan Association for Better Birth and Childcare, and Chengdu Maternal and Child Health Society, and was hosted by Chengdu Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital · Chengdu First People's Hospital.

The conference featured 1 main plenary session and 6 parallel sub-forums, with renowned domestic experts invited to deliver special topic reports and share clinical experience. In addition, the first Southwest Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Pediatric Young Physicians Case Presentation Competition was held during the event. Through comprehensive and in-depth academic exchanges, the conference aimed to build a platform for pediatric healthcare professionals to share knowledge, enhance the professional service capabilities and diagnostic and treatment skills of pediatric clinicians, and promote the high-quality development of various pediatric subspecialties. More than 600 delegates attended the conference in person.
