To deepen the collaborative development of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine between Sichuan and Chongqing, and to chart a new blueprint for high-quality discipline advancement, the "Second Chengdu-Chongqing Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine Committee Election and 2026 Academic Conference" was successfully held in Chengdu on July 11, 2026. The event was jointly hosted by Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association and West China Hospital (Shangjin Branch) of Sichuan University, and organized by the Chengdu-Chongqing Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine Committee of the Chengdu High-Tech Medical Association.

General Election and Leadership Renewal Conference

The 2nd General Election Conference for the Chengdu High-tech Medical Association Chengdu-Chongqing Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine Special Committee was held on July 11, 2026 in Chengdu. A total of 248 participants from 131 medical institutions both inside and outside Sichuan Province attended the conference. Through deliberation and democratic voting, the leadership team of the Special Committee, including the Chairperson, Chairperson-Designate, Deputy Chairpersons and Standing Committee Members, was elected.

Professor Liu Jin from West China Hospital, Sichuan University was appointed Honorary Chairperson of the Special Committee, and Professor Zheng Hong from West China Shangjin Hospital, Sichuan University served as Advisor to the Special Committee.Professor Wang Rurong from West China Shangjin Hospital, Sichuan University and Professor Wei Ke from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were elected Chairpersons of the Special Committee.Professor Chen Guo from West China Hospital, Sichuan University and Professor Zhang Yanqing from the University Town Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University were elected Chairpersons-Designate of the Special Committee.

At the meeting, the official approval for the establishment of the Party Working Group of the 2nd Chengdu-Chongqing Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine Special Committee was read out. Among the 148 Party members of the Special Committee, upon recommendation, discussion and approval by the association, Comrades Huang Han, Gu Juan and Liu Xiaonan were appointed to form the Party Working Group. Comrade Huang Han serves as the group leader; Comrade Liu Xiaonan takes charge of disciplinary inspection and organizational work; Comrade Gu Juan is responsible for publicity work.

Led by Comrade Huang Han, all committee members attended a Party class themed Thoroughly Study the Spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Strive for a Sound Start to the 15th Five-Year Plan Period.
